Winemaker Update
A Season Worth Celebrating
The 2026 harvest at Archery Summit was one for the books. What began with an early budbreak and warm spring quickly set the stage for an accelerated growing season, with our vineyards tracking two to three weeks ahead of schedule. Consistently warm temperatures, without extreme heat spikes, allowed the fruit to develop beautifully, setting us up for one of the fastest harvests in recent memory.
The pace was remarkable, but so was the execution. By early October, our team was already digging out the final Pinot Noir fermentation tanks, bringing an exceptionally swift and successful harvest to a close. I’m incredibly proud of how our team navigated the season, and even more excited about the quality and potential of the wines now taking shape in our cellar.
While the 2026 vintage begins its journey in the cellar, we’re also celebrating the arrival of two exceptional wines from an earlier harvest. Our fall release features the highly anticipated 2024 Red Hills Vineyard Pinot Noir alongside the 2024 Archer’s Paradox Pinot Noir, and I couldn’t be more excited for you to experience what makes each of these wines so special. I hope you’ll join us at the estate for our Fall Release Open House, where we’ll have the opportunity to celebrate these new releases together and enjoy the beauty of autumn at Archery Summit.
There’s also much more to share about this year’s harvest, and I invite you to join me for our Harvest Edition Virtual Conversation this November. We’ll take a closer look at the 2026 growing season, explore the decisions that shaped this remarkable harvest, and share a glimpse of what’s ahead for the vintage.
As the vineyards settle into fall and we look toward the holiday season, I hope you’ll find plenty of opportunities to gather, celebrate, and enjoy the wines we love sharing with you. Whether it’s at the estate or around your own table, thank you for being part of the Archery Summit family.
