The 2024 Summit Vineyard Chardonnay opens with bright Meyer lemon, fresh flinty minerality, and a hint of white peach. As the wine develops, it starts to display more influence from the French oak, adding a slight nuttiness and toasted quality, like that of a lemon meringue pie. On the palate, the citrus notes from the nose progress, turning even a touch brighter. Lime zest, floral notes, and salty minerality come through. The wine is a dazzling representation of the interplay between texture and acidity, as the wine persists on the palate. It is exceedingly food friendly but could be enjoyed as an apéritif as well.
