Estate Update

Spring has begun to awaken the vines here in the Dundee Hills, and with it, the beginning of a new growing season. Bud break is just around the corner, and the soils beneath our feet are alive once again. There’s a special energy in the air at Archery Summit, one that mirrors the vibrant momentum within our winery. We’re not only celebrating a new vintage, but meaningful milestones, new faces, and our 30th year of winemaking with the release of our 30th Anniversary Pinot Noir. With your May club release, we invite you deeper into our story, one rooted in the soil, carried by time, and nurtured by a team we’re proud to call family.

At the core of Archery Summit’s success are the people who make it all possible. This spring, we raise a glass to Corey Beyer, who is celebrating an incredible 21st vintage with us. His deep connection to our estate and masterful touch in the cellar are woven into the fabric of every wine we craft. We’re also thrilled to announce that Nicholas Tucci has been promoted to Cellar Master. Nicholas brings energy, experience, and a spirit of excellence to the cellar every day, and we’re proud to see him grow into this important role.

And with great excitement, we welcome Kim Abrahams as our new winemaker. Kim joins us with a wealth of experience and a passion for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay that aligns beautifully with our vision. Her thoughtful approach and dedication to winemaking are a perfect match for Archery Summit.

May Club Release

This release brings you two special expressions of Pinot Noir, both deeply reflective of site and season: 2023 Summit Vineyard Pinot Noir and 2023 Louise Vineyard Pinot Noir. From the winery estate, our Summit Vineyard Pinot Noir, is rooted in Jory soils and fermented with a touch of whole cluster, it opens with aromas of fresh summer plums, violets, and tea. The texture is plush yet structured, with fine tannins and a graceful finish that speaks to our vineyard’s maturity and depth. The 2023 Louise Vineyard Pinot Noir, is a first-time club release from a longtime favorite vineyard. As the result of our annual fruit exchange with Cristom Vineyards, this Pinot Noir reveals red and black currants, wild herbs, and a hint of cardamom. The palate is lifted by bergamot and framed by vibrant acidity. It’s a wine of intensity and finesse, uniquely Cristom Vineyards, unmistakably Archery Summit.

To complement these remarkable wines, we’re including a handcrafted gift in this release made exclusively for our club members. Each piece is cut from sustainably sourced leather, a byproduct of the food we share, and carefully stitched. Thoughtful in origin and timeless in design, it’s a small expression of our gratitude meant to be used, enjoyed, and passed from one memorable bottle to the next.

In celebration of our 30th anniversary, we’re offering two special wines available exclusively to members as add-ons to your club release:

30th Anniversary Pinot Noir Arcus Vineyard, Block 18
From vines planted in 1973, this wine is a tribute to our roots. It hails from the oldest block at Arcus Vineyard and was crafted with historic techniques and aged in barrels selected in honor of our founder, Gary Andrus. This is a singular, cellar-worthy Pinot Noir that captures the essence of Archery Summit across time.

2023 Red Hills Vineyard Chardonnay
Our first Red Hills Vineyard Chardonnay, this release is a milestone for our white wine program. Featuring two Chardonnay clones (Corton and 76), it was aged in French oak puncheons and finished in stainless steel to preserve vibrancy. Expect spiced green apple, toasted almond, and a mineral-driven, mouthwatering finish.
