ProWein

Sunday through tuesday, March 17–19  |  Düsseldorf, Germany

ProWein invites tradespeople from across the drinks industry spectrum to western Germany for a three-day assessment of beverage culture. Taking place on the Rhine River in Düsseldorf, this vast fair caters to purveyors of wine and spirits, importers and exporters, and retailers as well as hotel and catering clientele. Several thousand wineries participate, from expected places like France and the United States to relatively unheard-of wine nations like Lebanon and India.

A United Nations of sorts for the sprawling beverage community, ProWein is as collaborative as it is colossal in scope. In this, the golden era of craft drinks, expositions like ProWein are all the more important to be a part of, from the standpoint of business, responsible winegrowing, and general trade.

Interested members of the trade and exhibitors can access more info and registration details here.

vinNEBRASKA

The spring weekend will begin with a vintner reception and gourmet dinner on Friday, during which guests can visit with winemakers. On Saturday, the event will go public with an expansive tasting followed by a silent and live auction. Auction items include vacations and special selections from participating producers.

Willamette: The Pinot Noir Auction

friday, april 5 and Saturday, april 6  |  newberg, or

Willamette: The Pinot Noir Auction has become a blockbuster soiree for the local wine community. Set in the nearby Allison Inn & Spa in Newberg, this auction for the trade highlights the ever-growing status of the Willamette Valley and its coveted wines. We will be among 80 local wineries involved, together combining to show both the quality and the diversity of our incredible appellation. The auction will be prefaced by several Friday attractions, including an immersion seminar and welcome tasting.

The Pinot Noirs for the 2019 auction are entirely from the 2017 vintage and come in five, ten, and 20-case lots. They are tremendously exclusive and represent some of the top Willamette Valley wines of the vintage. Individual lots can earn well into the five figures. Last year’s auction total surpassed a remarkable $800,000.

Proceeds from the event benefit the Willamette Valley Wineries Association, the region’s leading wine marketing agency.

Summer Soirée

Saturday, July 13  |  6 pm to 9 pm

The magic of Willamette Valley summers is best observed through outdoor dining. Our Summer Soirée pairs an extraordinary multicourse meal with stunning wines and estate vines, against the backdrop of the setting sun.

Guests will be greeted by a welcome reception at the winery before moving to the vineyard for dinner. The meal, assembled by Executive Chef Peter Janiak, will play off a carefully curated family of wines. Delight in pairings that genuinely bring out the best of their corresponding dish.

One of our favorite gatherings of the year, the Summer Soiree revels in the bounty of the season and the feel-good mind-set native to summer. We know that a feast has to be pretty special to stand up to the breathtaking surroundings of our estate vineyards. The evening’s meticulously crafted menu is up to the task.

International Pinot Noir Celebration

Friday, July 26 through SUnday, July 28  |  McMinnville, OR

For Pinot Noir producers and proponents alike, the International Pinot Noir Celebration is the hottest ticket around. Every July, Linfield College in McMinnville becomes headquarters for this legendary event. Winemakers from Europe and both Americas descend on the small liberal arts college campus for three days of Pinot Noir exploration.

Some 60 chefs and more than 70 featured wineries participate, shedding tremendous light on Pinot Noir’s prominence and versatility. We are humbled to take part and couldn’t be happier that the world’s most admired Pinot Noir conclave occurs just a few short miles from our estate.

IPNC features a few signature events, including Passport to Pinot and the Salmon Bake. The former is a sprawling outdoor tasting; the latter is an extravagant feast built around alder-smoked wild salmon and dazzling wines from long-ago vintages.

¡Salud!

Friday, November 8 and SUnday, November 9  |  Willamette Valley, OR

Wineries know that some of the hardest work is carried out in the vineyard. Since 1992, ¡Salud! has taken this to heart by auctioning wines for vineyard workers’ health care at a spirited event every November.

We are among 40 area wineries submitting custom Pinot Noir lots to the greater ¡Salud! good. The weekend kicks off with a grand tasting and silent auction on Friday, followed by the black-tie main affair on Saturday.

The record-breaking 2018 event raised over $1 million for the region’s vital vineyard laborers. Many of these field hands lack basic health care, and the mighty mission of  ¡Salud! has always been to remedy that. Hundreds of laborers have received worksite health screenings, diabetes treatment, vaccinations, and more over the auction’s 28-year history.

Fall Release Open House

Saturday, November 23  |  10 Am to 4 pm

Drop by the winery for the Fall Release Open House as the purple hands of harvest fade to normal and another amazing vintage becomes history. We’re commemorating the season with stellar wines, good company, and self-directed tours of the estate.

Two wines of note will be released. One is the 2017 Arcus Vineyard Pinot Noir, a wine that blends intriguing floral characteristics with a hit of spice. The other is the 2017 Whole Cluster Cuvée Pinot Noir, packed with structure and ideal for cellaring. Food will accompany the wines, and guests are encouraged to explore our caves and fermentation hall.

In late November, there are still flickers of fall color in the vineyard. In the cellar, there’s a pronounced sense of satisfaction, as another year’s harvest evolves into wine. The open house falls on the tail end of the most important stretch of the year for winemakers, making it all the more rewarding. Reservations are not required but are requested.
