Looney Vineyards
Our Most Recent Addition
Surrounded by a hazelnut orchard in the new appellation of Ribbon Ridge, Looney Vineyard’s young vines receive plenty of warmth and light but not the hot sun of late afternoon. We take the same hands-on farming approach here, as in all our vineyards, with sedimentary rather than basaltic the soil in Looney’s 17 acres. Naturally, this difference gets expressed in the wine. Looney Vineyard is a densely flavored Pinot Noir - tasting more of blue and red fruits, with subtle hints of blood orange - reflecting the soil, the great southeastern exposure, and ideal 300- to 550-foot elevations.
