Archer’s Edge Vineyard is our newest Dundee Hills vineyard, nestled between our Summit Vineyard and Renegade Ridge Vineyard. This lovely, south-facing slope represents a culmination of insight gained from two decades of winegrowing. The soils here are primarily basalt based with some sedimentary soil at the lower elevations. Planted in 2007, it encompasses 10 acres of land at the eastern edge of the estate, seven of which are planted to Pommard and our favorite Dijon clones.
Acerage: 7 acres
Year planted: 2007
Elevation: 250-400 feet
Character: Nervy, Youthful, Exuberant
The youthful vines that grow on this vineyard produce wines that are decidedly “grapey” in nature and lighter in body. Anticipate fresh, juicy flavors of plums and red currants along with fragrant spice notes of bergamot and clove.
